This substantial 6.5cm Spinosaurus tooth has excellent presence, with a long, gently curved crown and particularly attractive orange to deep rust-brown fossil colouration. The warmer tones become richer towards the base, while darker areas towards the tip create strong natural contrast across the tooth.
One of the strongest features of this specimen is the surviving enamel texture. Fine longitudinal fluting runs along much of the crown, giving the surface the characteristic ribbed appearance associated with Spinosaurus teeth. The overall profile remains strong and well defined, tapering gradually towards the rounded apex.
The tooth retains plenty of natural character, with areas of lighter mineralisation, surface weathering and fine fissures visible across the crown. Rather than appearing overly prepared, these features preserve the authentic appearance of the fossil while the rich colour and elongated shape make it particularly effective as a display specimen.
Spinosaurus was one of the largest predatory dinosaurs known and possessed very different teeth from the blade-like, serrated teeth of many other theropods. Its teeth were comparatively straight and conical, with prominent longitudinal ridges, making them particularly well suited for gripping slippery prey such as fish.

Fossils and minerals are natural pieces ad should be handled with care. We recommend displaying away from direct sunlight, moisture, and high humidity to preserve condition over time.
