A polished labradorite freeform displaying exceptionally rare purple, pink and golden labradorescence across the polished face. The vivid flash shifts dramatically with changing light angles, revealing a remarkable combination of colours seldom encountered in natural labradorite.
The sweeping bands of iridescence create a striking contrast against the dark grey host stone, with intense magenta and violet tones complemented by flashes of gold and orange. Carefully shaped and polished to maximise both colour and form, this specimen is equally impressive as a mineral display piece and as a decorative object.
Labradorite is a feldspar mineral renowned for its unique optical effect, known as labradorescence, caused by light interacting with microscopic structures within the crystal. While blue and green flashes are the most common, naturally occurring purple and pink labradorite is considerably rarer and highly sought after by collectors due to its unusual colouration and visual impact.
