An impressive large Megalodon tooth measuring 11cm, with a broad triangular crown, substantial root and strong overall proportions. The pale grey enamel contrasts particularly well with the much darker fossilised root, giving the tooth a bold and immediately recognisable appearance.

The crown retains extensive natural enamel with fine vertical striations running towards the tip, while serrations remain visible along both cutting edges. Viewed from the side, the thickness and gentle curvature of the tooth become particularly apparent, showing the substantial construction needed for feeding on large marine prey.

Megalodon, Otodus megalodon, was one of the largest predatory sharks ever to have lived, inhabiting the world’s oceans between approximately 23 and 3.6 million years ago. Its enormous serrated teeth were adapted for cutting through flesh and bone, with larger individuals producing teeth considerably larger than those of any living shark.

At 11cm, this is a substantial example with excellent visual presence, combining a broad crown, strong serrations and a heavy root with particularly attractive contrast between the lighter enamel and darker fossilised material.

Return postage costs are the responsibility of the buyer and are non-refundable, unless the item is faulty or incorrectly supplied.
Items must be returned in their original condition and packaging.

Any items returned that are not in their original condition, or are damaged due to inadequate packaging, may be subject to a reduced refund. If a return arrives significantly damaged, it may be returned to the buyer at their expense.

Fossils and minerals are natural pieces ad should be handled with care. We recommend displaying away from direct sunlight, moisture, and high humidity to preserve condition over time.
